Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply when you use the ALLWISE platform. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and Service Agreement. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
2. Prohibited Use
You must not use ALLWISE to:
- Submit false or fraudulent information. This includes: property addresses you do not have authority to assess; fake or impersonated inspector credentials; falsified measurement readings; fabricated compliance verdicts; forged signatures on reports.
- Misuse personal information. Inspectors and property managers must only access personal information they have a legitimate purpose to access. Looking up tenant details, neighbour addresses, or property owner details outside the scope of an active engagement is prohibited.
- Harass, defame, or threaten. Communication between users via reports, comments, messages, or any other ALLWISE feature must not contain harassment, defamation, threats of violence, or hate speech.
- Interfere with the platform. This includes attempting to circumvent rate limits, scrape content, reverse-engineer the platform, upload malware, or conduct denial-of-service attacks.
- Bypass payment. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits, sharing accounts across multiple users, or attempting to acquire paid features without payment.
- Use ALLWISE outputs to mislead. Presenting a draft ALLWISE AI report as a licensed building inspection, code-compliance certificate, or formal regulatory determination is misleading and prohibited.
- Violate NZ law. Use ALLWISE for any purpose that is unlawful under New Zealand law, including the Privacy Act 2020, Fair Trading Act 1986, and any other applicable statute or regulation.
3. Content Standards
When you upload content to ALLWISE (inspection photos, assessment notes, witness statements, etc.), you confirm that you either own the content or have the necessary rights to share it, and that the content does not:
- Infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Contain malware, tracking pixels, or other malicious code
- Be deceptive, defamatory, or fraudulent
4. Security Requirements
You must:
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and any API keys issued to you
- Notify us immediately at security@allwise.co.nz if you suspect your account has been compromised
- Use a unique, strong password for your ALLWISE account — do not reuse passwords from other services
5. Enforcement
When we become aware of a possible AUP violation, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Issue a written warning
- Require you to remove or modify specific content
- Suspend your account pending investigation
- Permanently ban your account (see Complaints Procedure for your right to appeal)
- Refer the matter to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
We will, where practicable, give you advance notice of enforcement action and an opportunity to remedy the issue. However, we reserve the right to take immediate action without notice in cases involving unlawful activity, security threats, or behaviour that risks harm to other users.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of content or behaviour that violates this AUP, please report it to abuse@allwise.co.nz. Include the relevant account name, URL, or assessment ID, and a description of the issue.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email and a banner on the platform. Continued use of ALLWISE after changes constitutes acceptance.
